Ink on paper
Installation shot AM Gallery, Sydney.
Sculptor Lisa Jones and painter Tom Loveday come from quite different forms of art practice and yet their work can interact like the many conversations they have most working days in the studio they share. Instead of words, in this exhibition they are conversing in the various elements that make up their art practice, a sculptor responding to the techniques of hard edge painting and Op art and a painter responding to the colour and detail in two dimensional sculpture. The language of sculpture and of painting merge, with each work a comment, response, a joke, a pun or any of the other in a light hearted tussle over meaning and expression.
